Gerrells Sports Center, which opened in Grand Forks in 1972, introduced Hockey World in 1987.  Hockey World offers top of the line products from leading hockey manufacturers such as Nike-Bauer, CCM, RBK, Easton Hockey, Mission, Itech, Vaughn, Louisville Hockey, Sherwood, Shock Doctor, Riedell and Under Armour.

Our business, while operating together, is divided into two different departments.  Gerrells primarily handles baseball, basketball, football, and footwear as well as many other sports.  Gerrells offers quality products from leading manufacturers such as Nike, Adidas, Easton Baseball, Russell, Rawlings, and Louisville Slugger.

Hockey World also introduced “skate leasing” to the area in 1989.  We lease new and reconditioned skates and have a huge selection numbering over 3000 pair.  We also take pride in offering complete skate service after the sale.   Such services as skate sharpening, skate holder replacement, skate blade replacement, professional figure skate sharpening and custom skate radius.

Hockey World is one of only 30 retail stores in the nation able to offer the Nike/Bauer Custom ID Stick Program.  Our customers are able to CUSTOMIZE their stick for optimum PERFORMANCE and PERSONALIZE, it also.
